A Heartfelt Thanksgiving Message
As Thanksgiving in Canada approaches, it’s a time for reflection, gratitude, and connection with the people who make our lives special. Thanksgiving Day in Canada is celebrated on the second Monday in October, a day rooted in tradition and the spirit of harvest. While it shares some elements with American Thanksgiving, our version often comes with its own unique charm, from a focus on early October’s bounty to gatherings with family and friends before the cold truly sets in.
Thanksgiving is about sharing what we are thankful for, and I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has been part of my journey.
To My Retailers and Designers:
I am incredibly thankful for each of you—my wonderful retailers and designers—who have trusted me and supported my agency over the years. What started as business relationships has blossomed into friendships I cherish deeply. Your commitment, creativity, and trust have been the foundation of Grimwood Agencies, and I am truly grateful for the shared vision we’ve built together.
To My Family and Friends:
I am blessed to have such a loving and supportive family. To my parents, who have been my constant source of encouragement, you’ve shaped me into the person I am today, and I’m forever grateful. To my brothers, you are not just family but also my best friends, and watching my nephews grow into intelligent and kind men has filled me with pride. My sister-in-law, you are a treasure to our family—your kindness and love are unmatched, and I feel so lucky to have you in my life.
I am also thankful for my chosen family—friends who have stood by me through thick and thin. You know who you are, and I want to thank you for being part of my life’s journey, for all the laughter, tears, and memories we’ve shared. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.
To Canada, My Home:
I feel privileged to live in this beautiful country. Canada’s rich multiculturalism, the beauty of our four distinct seasons, and the way we come together in unity and respect for one another make this country truly special. From sharing diverse culinary traditions to experiencing the warmth of our communities, I am proud to call this place home.
In Closing:
Thanksgiving is more than just a holiday—it’s a reminder to pause and appreciate the blessings in our lives. I wish each and every one of you good health, happiness, and prosperity in the year ahead. May your hearts be full of gratitude, your tables surrounded by loved ones, and your blessings be multiplied.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Thank you for being part of my life and my journey. Let’s continue to grow together, support one another, and celebrate the beauty of every season.
With all my gratitude,
Cheri
